alj109loAngie L. Jennings is an advocate of writing quickly and not giving the demonic self-critic the chance to set in and dig its claws into her back. With the instruction of a university seminar, the first time novelist followed a rigorous schedule—writing two hours a day for six days a week—to complete her manuscript in a month and a half. It was almost two years later thatshe was able to see the rough draft objectively and perform its much needed edits.

Angie began her professional career as a production assistant for WHSV-TV3, an ABC affiliate. After college, she joined the staff of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee where she served in a variety of positions from Press Assistant, to Internet Communications/Press Coordinator to Specialty Press Secretary. Currently, Angie is an adjunct English professor with colleges and universities in the Washington, DC area and runs aiellejai (pronounced A-L-J), a communications firm.

She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in media arts and design from James Madison University, and a Masters of Arts degree in professional writing from Kennesaw State University. Angie is a member of the National Capital Chapter of Public Relations Society of America.

She currently resides in the Washington, DC area with her husband, Omari.
